Print physician order

To print a physician order:

•	Click File on the menu bar then click Print

•	Click the Print icon on the toolbar

•	Or use the keyboard shortcut, Ctrl+P.

This function prints a form to be used for recording patient data (labs, vital signs, etc) for follow-up patient monitoring to facilitate the pharmaceutical care process.

Please note: until a dose and interval has been correctly entered, the Print options are disabled.

Customizing the order form

The monitoring form is a Microsoft Word document which you can edit to suit your needs. Or, you can use your current monitoring form if it is in Word format.

The program will look for a file named "Blank_PKorder.doc". If it exists, it will use this as the template for the print-out.

The program will automatically search and replace the following fields in "Blank_PKorder.doc" with patient specific data:

C_Hospital	Hospital name
C_PtName	Patient name
C_Room	Room number
C_FIN	Acct
C_MD	Physician
C_RPh	Pharmacist name
C_DrugName	Drug name
C_LoadDose	Loading dose
C_DrugDose	Maintenance dose
C_Date	Current date
C_Time	Current time
