Set your Windows short date style All dates must be entered with 4 digit years to ensure Y2K compliance. If you experience problems entering dates, check the Short Date style setting in Windows:
M/d/yyyy (US), or d/M/yyyy (British)
Check your system clock The patient's date of birth is used to calculate the patient's age, therefore, you must ensure that your system clock is correct or the patient age calculation will not be correct.
Set program preferences Before you use the program, check the default parameters by viewing the Setup window. To enter Setup, click on the File drop down menu and click Setup, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S.
Set the data tracker columns The data tracker is an optional function which is used to record miscellaneous data such as labs, I/O's, vital signs, weights, etc. Column descriptions are not mapped to data, they are free text, therefore it is very important that you define the columns before you begin tracking data.
