Interface specs

TPNassist© may be interfaced with Pharmacy Information Systems by passing patient data via the command line.

There are 9 required fields in the parameter string.  Each field must be followed by the caret symbol (^), including the last field.

Required fields

1.  User login name

2.  Patient name (required format is Lastname, Firstname)

3.  Medical record number

4.  Attending physician name

5.  Location (ie, room number)

6.  Date of birth (required format is MM/DD/YYYY)

7.  Height in cm

8.  Weight in Kg

9.  Gender (M or F)

In addition to the 9 required fields,  the following optional lab fields may be passed.

IMPORTANT:  if no lab data is available for a preceding field, there must still be a "placeholder" caret for that field.

10. Date lab drawn (required format is MM/DD/YYYY)

11. Serum creatinine in mg/dL

12. PreAlbumin (mg/dL)

13. Albumin (g/dL)

14. Transferrin (mg/dL)

15. WBC (k/ul)

16. Lymphocytes (%)

17. Sodium (mEq/L)

18. Potassium (mEq/L)

19. Bicarbonate (mEq/L)

20. Chloride (mEq/L)

21. BUN (mg/dL)

22. Glucose (mg/dL)

23. Magnesium (mEq/dL)

24. Phosphate (mg/dL)

25. Calcium (mg/dL)

26. Triglycerides (mg/dL)

27. Prothrombin Time (seconds)
