TPN pathway base

Click the Base tab to create the base solution, the most important step in TPN entry.

Amino acid

Select the brand name from the drop down selection list.

Then select the percentage of amino acid, which will, of course, depend on the brand you have selected.

Lipid

Select the standard lipid percentage (or select none), then enter a standard volume.

Dextrose

Choose the percentage of dextrose you wish to use in this pathway.

Mix

Select 3-in-1 or traditional.

Route

Select peripheral or central

Electrolytes by

Select how you wish to enter the electrolytes in this pathway, by salt or by constituent cations and anions.

Base volume

Enter your pathway total base volume.
