Web update

To access the web update function:

Web update will check, download, and install TPNassist updates from the RxKinetics web site. A live connection to the internet is required.  If you dial-up to connect, please do so before proceeding with the web update.

There are three steps to the web update process, and there are three buttons on this window which correspond to the three steps.

Step One

Click Check for updates to access the RxKinetics web site to check for available updates.  If an update is available, the "Download" button will be activated.

Step Two

Select an update from the list by clicking on the check box next to the description, then click the Download updates button to proceed.  If the download was successful, the "Install" button will be activated.

Step Three

A running program cannot be replaced.  Therefore, you must exit TPNassist before installing an update. Web update will not proceed with the install step until you close TPNassist.

After you have closed the TPNassist program, click the Install updates button to begin the update process.

To exit without installing, click the close program icon on the web update window, i.e., the "X" in the upper right hand corner.

If a shared component was updated, you may be instructed to restart your computer.  Otherwise, reopen the TPNassist program to access the updated version.
